Car keyWhile the average length of ownership of a vehicle in the United States is 11 years, it turns out people want a new car much more often than that. In fact, according to a survey by SwapALease.com, if cost were not an issue, Americans say they would like to change vehicles as often as they change mobile phones. That’s less than every two years. The number one reason given for the frequency was to refresh the vehicle while under warranty. Getting a new model, a vehicle with the latest features and one with less miles were also chosen as important reason. Women are slightly more antsy than men according to survey responses, and more interested in being under warranty and getting the latest features on a new car. Both men and women listed a desire to drive something different as a high priority as well. See the full results of the survey here.
